Four people have been injured after a shotgun was fired near a pub. Armed officers were called to Dunkirk Lane, Leyland, Lancashire, shortly before 22:30 BST on Friday to reports of a shotgun being discharged. Two men, one aged in his 20s and another in his 40s, and two women, one in her 50s and another in her 20s, suffered minor injuries. The Dunkirk Hall pub said it was closed earlier while the police carried out forensic investigations. Police said an investigation was under way but no-one had been arrested. A Lancashire Police spokesman added the incident was being treated as an isolated one but patrols had been stepped up.
