A man has been raced to hospital with serious injuries following an alleged stabbing incident in Dublin city centre this evening. The incident took place at around 8:30pm on James Joyce Street, Dublin 1. Footage of the aftermath seen by Dublin Live shows a man lying on the ground while a number of people try to assist him. The injured man was treated at the scene before being taken to the nearby Mater Hospital where his condition is described as serious but not life-threatening. The scene of the incident has since been sealed off with a large Garda presence in the area while a technical examination is carried out. A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Shortly after 8:30pm on Monday, 14th July 2025, Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident on James Joyce Street, Dublin 1. An adult male sustained injuries during the course of the incident.
